Juventus Shows Concrete Interest in Raphaël Guerreiro Ahead of January Window

Italian giants Juventus are reportedly preparing a move for Bayern Munich full-back Raphaël Guerreiro in the upcoming January transfer window, as manager Massimiliano Allegri looks to strengthen his squad for the second half of the season.

According to sources close to the Turin club, Juventus have made “concrete contact” with Guerreiro’s representatives and are exploring both a loan with option to buy and a permanent deal, depending on Bayern’s valuation.

Guerreiro, 31, joined Bayern Munich from Borussia Dortmund in 2023 and was seen as a versatile addition to their defense and midfield. However, he has struggled for consistent game time this season, falling behind Alphonso Davies and Konrad Laimer in the pecking order under new Bayern coach Vincent Kompany.

The Portuguese international’s ability to play as both a left-back and central midfielder makes him an ideal fit for Allegri’s tactical setup, especially with Juventus managing injuries to key players like Alex Sandro and Danilo.

“We’re always evaluating opportunities to improve the team,” Allegri said when asked about the potential signing. “Experience and versatility are key qualities we look for.”

Bayern Munich are reportedly open to negotiating if a fair offer arrives, as the club is keen to balance their squad depth and give younger talents more minutes. Guerreiro, meanwhile, is believed to be open to a move that offers regular first-team football particularly with Euro 2026 approaching.

During his time in Germany, Guerreiro established himself as one of the Bundesliga’s most consistent left-backs, known for his technical ability, precise passing, and attacking intelligence. His experience could prove vital for a Juventus side competing on multiple fronts.

If the deal goes through, Guerreiro would join a growing list of Portuguese players in Serie A, following the likes of Rafael Leão (AC Milan) and João Cancelo (Inter, formerly Juventus).

Key Points Recap:

  • Juventus show strong interest in Bayern Munich’s Raphaël Guerreiro.
  • Allegri seeks experienced cover for defensive and midfield roles.
  • Guerreiro open to leaving Bayern for regular playing time.
  • Potential deal structure: loan with option to buy.
  • Move could happen in January 2026 transfer window.
